1966 Chevy Chevelle This Chevelle 300 two door sedan was a bargain when it rolled off of the show floor in 1966, selling for only $2,271 MSRP. The only option that was added to the car was the 283CI V8 which is still in the place. It has a 4 Speed Transmission on the floor with a new Hurst shifter. Bought new in Akley, Iowa, it has remained there most of its life until we purchased it. Repainted in a stunning dark plum color with outstanding chrome on both bumpers - a very solid car after the previous owner had the two rear partial floor pans replaced. Recent performance upgrades: an electric choke Edelbrock sits on top of an Edelbrok aluminum intake, front disc brakes with 2 inch drop spindles, an aluminum Muncie 4 speed, a Hurst competition plus shifter, a real mellow sounding Flowmaster exhaust, and new BFG rubber - 15 x 6 front and 15 x 8 rears. Interior upgrades: new carpet, the front seats are out of a newer Camaro with the Chevy bowtie embroidered in the seat backs and remote door entry. The trunk area is very clean and set off in aqua trunk spatter with a new mat. There was no skimping on making this fun car - it looks and sounds killer. The price has been reduced to $22,999.00.
